Mr. Gumi sits in front of monitor. He carefully read a financial statement and then makes analysis about it. There is no single number in balance sheet, income statement, equity statement, cash flow and the attachments passed from his eyes. Several numbers is increasing in a post but in some post it is decreasing compared to last 2 years. He analyzes the number using several analysis techniques and then correlates a number with another number so it forming a story of how the company operates for last year.

After several hours analyzing the financial statement, he makes conclusion:

Messages from Farewell

If there’s a beginning, it must be there is an ending; if there’s an encounter, it must be there is a farewell. Wise words I heard in book and movie.

One of my officemate decided to finish his carrier in our company. “It is hard to ensure my decision was right, but having think deeply I could ascertain the decision” he said in the farewell party. As audience, I and some people have estimated before that he would quit the company soon. He just reached bachelor degree in a university in Surabaya meanwhile his job recently is an office boy[1], and absolutely this is not a good thing. So, may be this is the best way for him to be a better person and better job. Take other job which take higher responsibility and higher benefit is a solution. Furthermore he would get bigger self-actualization.

Last week I went to Yogyakarta to spend my holiday and luckily I got a meeting with my old friends whose, in my idea, are very special. As an employee we got to finish our task based on our job description given by our company. Every responsibility we take come right for us, particularly salary or wage in certain amount. As our responsibility improved, so our right would improve, vice versa. Up to this point, there’s no ignorance about the fact. But, sometimes I think of something.
